Nazareth Ice Oasis Rule Amendments
201(a)- The minimum number of players to start a game is 4 Rostered players and ANY goalie.
201(c)- Sub players shall be allowed for rostered players in their own league. In order to sub you must sign in with the scorekeeper during the warm up period of the game you are trying to sub. All sign ups taken before this time shall not be recorded. Sub priority will fall to those who have just played their rostered teams game, then to those who have not sub a game yet (even if they arrive before their rostered teams game). Priority then falls to all those who have subbed into the least amount of games. Any team that has substitute players cannot exceed 10 players. Subbing into a game is a privilege and not a right. In the event that 2 players have the same sub priority and there is not space for both players, they should decide between one another as to who should stay. If there is no agreement, the referee will have the final decision with the intention of creating the most competitive game.
203(g)- All players have been given a rostered jersey and socks and are required to have both at each and every game. If a player has not been give said jersey and socks than it is the Referees duty to send them to the Zamboni driver, or league director to issue the required jersey. If a player has been issued a jersey and socks, but does not wear the required uniform a minor penalty shall be issued.
303(b)- Goaltenders equipment does not have to conform to the current USA hockey requirements. Instead the requirement is that the equipment is all in good condition and doesn’t not present a hazard to either the goaltender or other players. The goaltenders helmet has to be HECC certified, but the cage does not.
304(f)- For all Nazareth Ice Oasis Leagues a half visor is required. For Thursday night, a half visor is acceptable when accompanied by a mouthpiece. For Saturday night, full facial protection is required. Any minors playing in any adult league classifications are required to have full facial protection at all times.
403(a)- Generally all majors penalties are joined by a game misconduct penalty.
404(a)- Misconduct penalties are 6 minutes.
404(d)- The maximum number of penalties is 4 or (8 minutes in penalties, which comes first) in Nazareth Ice Oasis games. If a player incurs 4 penalties or 8 minutes he is therefore removed from the game, but not issued a game misconduct automatically. If he is issued a separate game misconduct that falls under 404(b).
404(b)- If a player during the course of a season incurs two game misconduct penalties, then he shall be suspended an additional 3 games, not including the suspension incurred during the penalty. If a player receives 3 game misconducts over the course of a season he is there by suspended for the remainder of the season and will be under review for the following season.
614(k)- A Sub player is only allowed 1 goal per game, no matter what side he is playing on. During forfeit games both teams can agree to allow the sub to score more than 1 goal. During mix level hockey, no single player may score more than 3 goals.
614(l)- A Goalie can not sub out onto the night they are rostered to play goalie on.
620(a)- Adult classifications will use the Blue line as the determining line for icing.
638(a)- For games ending in a tie, a 2-minute running time over time shall be allowed, if time permits. No timeouts are permitted during the overtime. During playoff games, there will be a 4 minute running time period, followed by a 3 man shoot out if the game remains tied. The shoot out will continue to commence until there is a winner.
